MONGKOK’S WOW FACTOR - TWO MICHELIN STAR MING COURT

2 December 2011

Hong Kong’s favourite contemporary Cantonese restaurant, Ming Court, was awarded two Michelin stars by the world’s coveted Hong Kong Macau 2012 Michelin guide, an award it has retained for three consecutive years in Hong Kong’s impressively competitive dining scene.

At the helm since its opening, Ming Court’s Executive Chef East - Tsang Chiu King, was over the moon with the award, saying “…I love it when my guests relish their food. If I can satisfy their tastebuds and do so in a creative, modern way then my job is done…my team are the real stars. Thank you to Michelin for recognising us again with this prestigious honour”.

Led by Restaurant Manager, Frank Chan, Ming Court is known for its innovative take on authentic Cantonese cuisine, continuous evolution in artistic dining, and iconic wine pairing meals, with Chef Tsang’s recent signatures including international ingredients from summer blossoms and gold leaf to foie gras and black truffle.

As one of only ten restaurants in Hong Kong to be honoured two stars, Michelin recognises restaurants with “excellent cuisine, worth a detour, and skilfully and carefully crafted dishes of outstanding quality” to make the two star cut.

Also mentioned in the 2012 guide is the hotel’s vibrant Japanese grill, Tokoro – Robatayaki & Whisky Bar, sitting alongside its hotel listing as “top class comfort”. Cheers to round three!
