Celebrate Summer With Japanese Jewels at The Place, Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong

This summer, the city’s popular buffet restaurant, The Place at Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong, has elevated its popular lunch and dinner buffets with the addition of Japanese favourites to its spread.

Led by Executive Chef, Paul McLoughlin and Pastry Chef, Teddy Arcon, The Place’s culinary talents enliven guests’ senses with both innovative and traditional Japanese dishes. Sumptuous highlights include:

Light Delights
• A variety of deluxe sushi, maki and jet-fresh sashimi - including premium amberjack available during dinner on Fridays and Saturdays
• Rotating temaki and California maki roll live stations during dinner
• Signature foie gras takoyaki (octopus balls with melted cheese filling) prepared à la minute during dinner

Satisfying Mains
• Refreshing soba and green tea noodles
• Ramen and udon live station
• Juicy kurobuta pork in Japanese curry or sweet and sour sauce
• Cod roe fried rice
• A spread of Tokoro – Robatayaki & Whisky Bar’s signature items - minced chicken skewers by day; tender Wagyu beef skewers and miso cod by night

Irresistible sweets
• Hokkaido Milk Top Ice-cream
• Japanese crepes and doreyaki live stations
• Homemade Japanese bamboo charcoal and green tea Swiss rolls
• Uchikinoki (Japanese green tea and red bean crushed ice dessert)
• Premium Hokkaido milk pudding with birds’ nest
• Crème caramel pudding, using the finest Okinawa raw sugar

Alongside the Japanese highlights are The Place’s classic show-stoppers: freshly shucked New Zealand oysters, the day’s catch seafood station and aromatic Singaporean wok-fried lobsters.
