ELEGANT OR CHIC? LANGHAM LAUNCHES SOCIAL MEDIA QUIZ TO GUAGE YOUR HOTEL STYLE

Caviar in the lap of luxury or an iPad in your state-of-the-art suite? The Langham, Hong Kong and Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong today launched a social media quiz, Langham Twins, to establish which of the two brands best matches your style.
The quiz, which promises to make you smile, giggle and possibly even blush is accessible at www.langhamhotels.com/langhamtwins. Contestants are asked seven quick questions and the results then immediately determine which hotel they’re most likely to enjoy. Everyone who completes the questions also automatically enters the draw to win HK$110,000 in prizes. “The Langham and Langham Place are two very distinctive hotels,” says Katie Harel and Katie Malone, both directors of communications at The Langham, Hong Kong and Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong respectively. “Our aim was to come up with a lighthearted campaign that highlights the unique qualities of each brand – allowing people to make up their own minds. The result is Langham Twins.” As with twins, The Langham and Langham Place share the same parents (Langham Hotels International) and like most siblings they like to tease that each is the better than the other…but that’s where the similarities end. Katie H describes The Langham as “elegant, charming, poised and sophisticated” (pretty straight by Langham Place’s terms). Meanwhile Katie M says Langham Place is “a little bit audacious, modern, fun and chic” (outright cheeky if you ask The Langham). The quiz takes 30 seconds to complete and runs until 15 September 2010. All prizewinners will be announced on 22 September 2010.
