LANGHAM PLACE AWARDED BEST HOTEL IN 2010
TRIPADVISOR TRAVELERS’ CHOICE AWARDS

Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong has been awarded the best hotel in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan in the eighth annual TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards announced yesterday.

The award winners are selected based on the millions of reviews and opinions from travellers on tripadvisor.com.

95% of the 925 travellers who reviewed Langham Place recommend staying at the hotel.

The top five places for the Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan region all went to Hong Kong hotels. Other hotels in the top five included (from second to fifth): Four Seasons Hotel, Hong Kong, Island Shangri-La Hotel, Hong Kong, Conrad, Hong Kong and Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong.

TripAdvisor attracts more than 36 million visitors every month.

Langham Place is thrilled with the achievement. The 665-room hotel opened in 2005 in the heart of Mongkok offering guests a taste of the real Hong Kong. The philosophy behind the Langham Place brand is to break the rules of a traditional five-star hotel and offer a modern, ‘without airs’ style of service. The hotel features 1500 pieces of contemporary Chinese art, making it one of the world’s largest collectors and is surrounded by a wi-fi bubble encapsulating more the five kilometres of fibre optic cable, making it one of the city’s most technologically advanced hotels.
