Since opening in 2005 we’ve been working hard to reduce our wastage and minimise our impact on the environment.

OVER THE LAST 12 MONTHS:

ENERGY SAVINGS
We use special heat pumps that recover heat from our chillers to heat all our water. This saves 75% of the energy used by boilers at other hotels.

RECYCLING
We’ve saved more than 100 tonnes of rubbish in our landfills through recycling.

PAPER SAVINGS
Through implementing a paperless office environment where possible we’ve used 480,000 less pieces of paper.

BIO-FUEL CREATION
We’ve recycled 2,700 litres of cooking oil, transforming it into bio-fuel. You may also be interested to know this is then used to run our hotel truck.

WATER SAVINGS
Through staff water conservation and by encouraging guests to do the same we now use 20% less water.
